GCP is a Canadian musical theatre company worth knowing!

Garden City Productions began back in 1956 when the Operatic Society of Grantham United Church first performed The Pirates of Penzance in a church basement.

Since then, the company has mounted over 100 shows and is the only surviving theatre company in St. Catharines from that time.

Looking back, we are proud to have accomplished what we have. In 1964, we officially became GCP, operating from “any hall available”. We moved to our new location, “The Kirk”, at 372 Merritt Street in 2014. Through the years, we have grown, both artistically and technically, and boast dozens of citizens of professional alumni in the field of their choice.
